Behavioral and Mental Health Care for Every Family
At Butterfly Family Center, LLC, we understand that personal growth is like a butterfly's life cycle – a challenging journey requiring time and patience. Just as not every egg makes it to the caterpillar stage, overcoming mental health challenges can be difficult. Despite facing issues like the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, social pressure, depression, anxiety, and loneliness, we provide individual and family psychological therapy. Our positive outcomes extend to children, teenagers, and adults, fostering acceptance and support for families throughout their transformative journey.
Who We Are
SERVICES DESCRIPTION FOR MEDICAL/REFERRAL PROVIDERS
Butterfly Family Center is a fully bilingual, bi-cultural, and multicultural mental health, special education, and family wellness center providing services to the families of North Carolina with a special focus on minorities, including the Latinx community, where we not only speak Spanish but also understand the needs of Hispanic families in the United States and more specifically in the triangle area.
INITIAL EVALUATIONS
Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (CCA)
Initial CCA checks for problems with your mental function (how your brain processes thoughts). The test involves answering simple questions from the client and the client's parent or guardian. A professional clinician will drive every client through medical and family history, feelings, and emotions, including any event affecting his/her emotional behavior reflected at school, home, or in daily activities. After assigning a mental health diagnosis, our professional clinicians will prepare an individual treatment plan and provide clinical recommendations such as weekly individual or family sessions, other specific evaluations, or a higher level of care.

BENEFITS OF OUR CENTER
- No referral needed: Families looking for mental health services do not need a referral from a doctor's office; however, we work with many community organizations and major pediatric clinics that provide and send their referrals every week.
- Pediatric office or community organizations referral form: we encourage you to use our referral form, which will allow us to have more precise information regarding each client. Our referral can be found on the referral tab.
- Convenient Schedules: Taking into consideration our community needs, our center is open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 8 pm, offering appointments after school and after work, which is a very convenient time for everyone considering how busy life is every day.
- Translation services (ENGLISH - SPANISH): Our center counts on a wide experience interpreting countless therapy sessions (Spanish-English) throughout the years, being able not just to interpret the services but also make sure that both the professional clinicians and the client can understand the bi-cultural behaviors that may help to enhance the client/therapist connection, serving as a bridge between their worlds: We are not just a bilingual center but also a bi-cultural center where we understand the needs of Latino families and the hardship that comes with the language, cultural and systematic barriers that we need to face every day.
- Wait List: Due to our very strict cancellation or no-show policies, our center can provide appointments for new clients sooner than many other places. We understand the mental health needs in our communities, and we strive every week to keep the wait list as short as possible to avoid waiting any time at all.
- Virtual therapy (Telehealth): With online therapy services becoming increasingly accessible over the last two years, more people are turning to teletherapy to access mental health treatment from the comfort of their own homes, and it can be a valuable resource to receive the services the clients need.
- In-person Therapy: Nothing is better than a face-to-face session; this is why we can provide in-person therapy in our center located in Cary, NC. We constantly encourage families to attend their weekly sessions, especially for kids under 18 years of age who benefit tremendously from in-person therapy.
Bilingual & Bi-cultural Mental Health Services
No solo hablamos español, tambien entedemos la familia hispana.
The Latinx/Hispanic community is made up of diverse individuals, often set apart by their country of origin or ancestral history.
For the Latinx/Hispanic community, mental health and mental illness are often stigmatized topics, resulting in prolonged suffering in silence. This silence compounds the range of experiences that may lead to mental health conditions, including immigration, acculturation, trauma, and generational conflicts, additionally, with barriers that may impede access to mental health services, resulting in reduced help-seeking behaviors. This is why Butterfly Family Center is offering psychological services for our latino community, usted no esta solo, nosotros estamos aqui para ayudarle!
