Behavioral and Mental Health Care for Every Family's Journey

Behavioral and Mental Health Care for Every Family's Journey

At Butterfly Family Center, LLC, we understand that personal growth is much like a butterfly's life cycle—an intricate journey that requires time, patience, and perseverance. Just as not every egg transforms into a caterpillar, overcoming mental health challenges can be difficult. In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the pressures of social expectations, depression, anxiety, and loneliness, we offer individual and family therapy. Our services support children, teenagers, and adults, helping them navigate their unique challenges while fostering acceptance and providing a nurturing environment for families throughout their transformative journey.

Butterfly Family Center: Comprehensive Behavioral and Mental Health Care for Families

At Butterfly Family Center, we are a fully bilingual, bi-cultural, and multicultural mental health, special education, and family wellness center serving the families of North Carolina. We have a special focus on minority communities, particularly the Latinx population. Not only do we speak Spanish, but we also deeply understand the unique needs of Hispanic families in the United States, especially those living in the Triangle area.

INITIAL EVALUATIONS

Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (CCA)
Our initial CCA evaluates mental function by addressing how the brain processes thoughts. During this assessment, simple questions will be answered by both the client and their parent or guardian. A professional clinician will guide the client through discussions of medical and family history, emotions, feelings, and events affecting emotional behavior at school, home, or in daily life. Following this assessment, a mental health diagnosis will be provided, and our clinicians will prepare an individualized treatment plan with clinical recommendations, including weekly therapy sessions, further evaluations, or a higher level of care.

BENEFITS OF OUR CENTER

  • No Referral Needed: Families seeking mental health services do not require a referral from a doctor’s office. However, we work with many community organizations and pediatric clinics that send us referrals every week.
  • Pediatric Office or Community Organization Referral Form: We encourage the use of our referral form to ensure we have accurate information about each client. The referral form can be found on the referral tab on our website.
  • Convenient Schedules: Understanding the busy lives of families, our center is open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 8 pm, offering appointments after school and work hours.
  • Translation Services (English - Spanish): With years of experience in interpreting therapy sessions, we provide seamless bilingual services. Our clinicians not only speak Spanish but also understand the cultural nuances that enhance the therapeutic process, creating a bridge between the client’s world and that of the therapist.
  • Wait List: Thanks to our strict cancellation and no-show policies, we strive to keep our waitlist short and provide quicker appointments than many other centers.
  • Virtual Therapy (Telehealth): Online therapy is an accessible option for those seeking treatment from the comfort of their own homes. We offer virtual sessions for clients who prefer telehealth.
  • In-Person Therapy: Face-to-face sessions are invaluable, particularly for children under 18. Our Cary and Raleigh NC locations provides in-person therapy services, where families are encouraged to attend regularly to maximize therapeutic benefits.

Bilingual & Bi-cultural Mental Health Services

Bilingual & Bi-cultural Mental Health Services

No solo hablamos español, tambien entedemos la familia hispana.

The Latinx/Hispanic community is made up of diverse individuals, often set apart by their country of origin or ancestral history.

For the Latinx/Hispanic community, mental health and mental illness are often stigmatized topics, leading to prolonged suffering in silence. This silence deepens the range of experiences that may lead to mental health conditions, including immigration, acculturation, trauma, and generational conflicts. In addition, barriers to accessing mental health services often result in reduced help-seeking behaviors. This is why Butterfly Family Center is offering outpatient therapy services to our Latino community. Nosotros estamos aqui para ayudarle!
